Some dates for your diaries:
• 1 November – All Souls @ 6pm. This year’s All Souls service is to be held at St Paul’s, Yelverton. The names of people you would like to be read out, in addition to those we already have from services over the last 12 months (to 30th September 2026), can be added to the list which will be displayed in St Mary’s until 19 October.
• 8 November - Remembrance Sunday @ 10.45am @ Horrabridge War Memorial. Representatives from Plasterdown Grouped Parish Council and St Mary’s will be laying wreaths.
• 27 November – Wine Tasting @ 7pm. The wine tasting with bangers and mash supper will take place at the Parish Rooms in Tavistock – tickets are £25, available from me and are selling very fast. As on previous occasions, Charles Steevenson will lead the tasting of wines provided by Sovereign Wines. Liz Cole will once again be providing outstanding bangers and mash and pavlova to follow!
• 16 December – Christmas Extravaganza @ 7.15pm. The usual mix of music, poetry and pantomime plus the drawing of the 2026 Parish Raffle. Tickets are available from me or Helen Sims at £5 each/children go free.
• 25 December - Christmas Day Holy Communion @ 9.15am.
• 27 December – Lay Led Carols @ 3pm using the traditional Nine Lessons and Carols format.
